- Doctor registration. Every NewDoc GP's name and AHPRA registration number is shown to you before and during your consultation, so you can look them up on the public AHPRA register at ahpra.gov.au.

Frequently asked questions
Are NewDoc reviews verified?
The aggregate rating of 4.6★ from 54 reviews reflects verified Google Business Profile reviews left by NewDoc patients in Australia. The named patient testimonials shown on this page are quoted verbatim from those public reviews, with first names attributed as the reviewers posted them.
Is NewDoc legitimate?
Yes. NewDoc is a registered Australian medical service (ABN 95 686 031 318). All consultations are performed by Australian-trained General Practitioners who are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). You can verify any practising doctor on the public AHPRA register at ahpra.gov.au.
How can I verify the doctor I see?
Every NewDoc GP's name and AHPRA registration number is shown to you before and during your consultation. You can search the doctor's name on the public AHPRA register (ahpra.gov.au) at any time to confirm their registration status, qualifications, and practising location.
Are the consultations really bulk billed?
Yes, for eligible Medicare cardholders. NewDoc submits the consultation directly to Medicare under the relevant Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) telehealth item. Eligible patients pay $0 out of pocket. Patients without Medicare or who are otherwise ineligible can book a private consultation; the fee is shown transparently before booking.
Can patients leave reviews directly?
Yes. After each consultation, patients receive an SMS with a link to leave a review on NewDoc's Google Business Profile. NewDoc does not filter or remove reviews — the public Google rating reflects the full feedback distribution.
What if I have a complaint?
Patients can contact NewDoc directly via the booking platform or by phone. Complaints about clinical care can also be raised independently with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or, in NSW, with the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC). Contact details are in the editorial policy.
