How NewDoc compares on price

What every consult includes

Some telehealth providers charge separately for each script, certificate, or referral. We don't. Everything your GP does in your appointment is covered by one price, so there are no add-on fees and no surprises at the end.

Your consultation is with an AHPRA-registered GP who holds specialist GP fellowship. In a single appointment, they can send an eScript straight to your phone, email you a medical certificate, write a specialist referral, order blood tests or imaging, create a mental health care plan, or simply talk through what's going on and what to do next.

All of it is covered by the consultation fee or bulk bill. Nothing issued during your appointment costs extra.

How NewDoc pricing compares

Many Australian telehealth services price per item: a fee for the consultation, then another for each script, certificate, or referral letter. It adds up, and you often can't tell what the total will be until the end.

We take a different approach. The consultation covers everything. If your GP issues two prescriptions, a medical certificate, and a referral in the one appointment, you still pay the single consultation fee and nothing more.

There are no surcharges for evenings, weekends, or public holidays either. The price is the same whenever you book.

Bulk billing eligibility

To be bulk billed, you need a valid Medicare card and to meet the current Medicare telehealth rules. Most Australians in metropolitan and regional areas are covered under the current provisions.

You don't need to decode the rules yourself. We check your eligibility while you book, so you'll know before your appointment whether it will be bulk billed. If you're not eligible, the private fee applies, and you'll see it clearly before you confirm anything.

And if you hold a Medicare card but aren't eligible for bulk billing, you may still be able to claim a partial rebate straight from Medicare after your private consultation.
