What is bulk billed telehealth?
Bulk billed telehealth means you can see a GP via video or phone call with no out-of-pocket cost if you hold a valid Medicare card and are in an eligible area. All NewDoc doctors have completed specialist GP training. Your GP can prescribe medication via eScript, issue medical certificates, order blood tests and imaging, write specialist referrals, and create Mental Health Treatment Plans. Scripts, certificates, and referrals are included at no additional cost.
What services can I access through telehealth?
General GP consults, medical certificates, prescriptions, referrals, pathology requests, mental health plans, chronic disease management, and follow-ups—depending on eligibility and clinical safety.
Is the appointment really bulk billed?
Yes! Telehealth services through NewDoc are fully bulk billed for eligible patients under Medicare. After signing up and completing your patient profile we will assess your eligibility automatically.
How quickly can I book an appointment?
We offer same-day availability for most appointments. Simply select your preferred time slot when booking, and you'll be confirmed within minutes.
Are the doctors Australian-registered?
Absolutely. All our doctors are Australian-trained, AHPRA-registered, and fully qualified GP consultants with extensive experience in providing quality healthcare.
How does telehealth work?
After booking your appointment online, you'll receive a confirmation with a secure video call link. At your scheduled time, simply join the call from your phone, tablet, or computer to meet with your GP. After the consultation, any prescriptions, certificates, or referrals will be sent directly to you.
